The IX Mlk Trail & Tahermo Night Racelady in the city, comes this Saturday September 24 to La Coracha and Gibralfaroas reported by the Councilor for Sports of the Malaga City Council, Noelia Losada, and the manager of the Chiprunning Trail Sports Club, Albert García.
The race will have two distances, one for adults, with 10,000 meters and a two-lap urban and natural circuit with a climb to Gibralfaro Castle; and another, childish, of 1,100 meters. The start of the race will be located on Guillén Sotelo street, just behind the Town Hall, from where you can see the Alcazaba and climb Mount Gibralfaro through Don Juan Temboury and La Coracha streets. It will depart at 10:00 p.m.
The route will be in the first round starting: Guillén Sotelo street, Cervantes avenue, Guillén Sotelo street, Don Juan Temboury street, Coracha climb, Malagueta path, Gibralfaro path, Mirador de la Costa path, Muralla path and Mundo Nuevo street. The second lap, once you reach the Mundo Nuevo street tunnelwill look for the ascent of the Coracha again with arrival at Alcazabilla street.
The number of participants in the adult race will be around 600 athletes and runners may take part from the age of 15 included.
There are still numbers available for both tests, organized by the Chiprunning Trail Sports Club. This event has the collaboration of the Sports Area of the Malaga City Council and the Andalusian Athletics Federation (FAA). The test is included in the calendar of popular races of the Federation and will be arbitrated by the Provincial College of Judges.
The event has a solidarity component with the projects of the entities ‘Una Cima Una Sonrisa’ and ‘Corazones Malagueños’; the IX edition of the Mlk Trail & Tahermo is consolidated as a Sustainable Event in collaboration with ‘Málaga, how do I love you!?’, the municipal environmental awareness program. It promotes the acquisition of responsible habits to minimize environmental repercussions.
LThe activity is of a merely popular and participatory nature and establishes the organizers’ own categories by male and female.
The children’s raceaimed at children from six to 12 years old, It will start and finish in Calle Guillén Sotelo, at 9:30 p.m. Participants will receive a medal and treats and the cost to participate will be three euros.
The registration of the adults will have a single price of 12 euros and the maximum quota will be 600 registered, being able to do it through the web www.mlktrail.es
Runners will receive a runner’s t-shirt and bag and the test will be timed by the FAA and the participation certificate can be obtained. The marketing manager of Renault Tahermo, Cristina Molina, and the rrepresentative of La Opinion of Malaga, Fran Extremeraas sponsors of the test.
