Málaga CF has always beaten Alavés in the Second Division

Málaga CF will look to attack this Saturday mendizorroza to continue with mathematical options for permanence, at the expense of what Sporting does against Eibar. Pellicer’s men travel to the fiefdom of the third classified, a difficult field that they will press to guide Alavés towards direct promotion. The Vitoria stadium is one of the most feared in LaLiga SmartBank, however, since its re-foundation, those from Martiricos have always come out of there with the three points under their arms when they have seen their faces in Second division.

Since its new name, the Malaga CF has won all the games in which it has faced Alavés in the category. Three in La Rosaleda and two in Mendizorroza. And always for the same result, 1-0 and 0-1.

People from Malaga and people from Vitoria coincided during two consecutive seasons in Segundauntil the blue and white club managed to make the leap back to the top flight. In 2006-07, Málaga took the victory at La Rosaleda with an own goal from Carpintero and then in Mendizorroza they also prevailed thanks to a goal from Perico. Some mythical players played in that team, such as the late Francesc Arnau, Jesús Gámez, Sandro, Edgar or Salva ballesta. And one season later, the year Málaga was promoted to the First Division, the Costa del Sol team won both games with the same results, 0-1 in Vitoria with a goal from peragon and 1-0 at La Rosaleda with a target from apono.

Málaga CF and Alavés had not met again in the Second Division until this season. And once again the blue and white team prevailed again in Martiricos in the first round match 1-0 with a goal from Pablo Chavarría. Now, he needs to continue extending this streak to maintain a thread of hope towards permanence, without depending on himself.

historical balance

In total, Málaga CF and Alavés have met 19 times since the Blue and Whites were refounded, with 9 wins for Malaga, 3 draws and 7 wins for the babazorro team. Regarding the games played in Mendizorroza, Málaga CF’s numbers are not bad: 4 games won, 1 draw and 4 lost. And, as previously mentioned, on the two occasions that the clash was played in the Second Division, the anchovies took the cat into the water.

Alavés, tough at home

Málaga has the challenge this Saturday of assaulting the second most complicated field of the season in LaLiga SmartBank. Alavés is the second best venue in the competition, only behind Granada. In his stadium he has added 12 victories, 7 draws and only one defeat. That is, 43 points out of 60 possible. After 20 games played this season in Mendizorroza, only Levante (0-2) managed to take the three points from Vitoria, back on December 12 on matchday 20. The blue and white team is obliged to follow the example of the granota team so as not to be definitively relegated to the First Federation.
