Eleven seasons ago, Málaga CF fans roamed Europe following their team in a historic season with participation in the Champions League. Athens, Brussels, Milan, Saint Petersburg, Porto, Dortmund… They were days of glory for Malaguismo, which was experiencing the most golden era at the sporting level of the entity. 11 years later, the blue and white club is in the hell of the First RFEF, and now the team, instead of visiting large European cities, must travel to humble fields in the third category of Spanish football. But there is one thing that has not changed: Málaga CF will once again be accompanied by more than 2,000 people in rival territory.
This Sunday’s trip to Linares aims to be historic. By number of fans, similar to those experienced in the 2012-13 season in European competition. In addition to those ‘invasions’, the Boquerona fans have starred in other well-remembered ones, leaving spectacular images in the stands, such as in the Sánchez Pizjuán to face Sevilla B or in Los Cármenes to face Granada, both in the Second Division. And in just a few days he will once again leave a mark to remember in the stands of Linarejos.
A blue and white background
They wait more than 2,000 blue and white fans in the stands of Linarejos. Linares has blocked one of the entire funds for the visiting stands, which will be packed with Malaguista fans. The tickets that the Jaén club itself put on sale on its website flew in a short time, there are fans who have even bought in adjacent areas of the stadium, fearing of being left without a ticket.
This Tuesday, Málaga CF put the rest of the tickets available for sale to visiting fans at the La Rosaleda box office. Among those that had already been given to the clubs for their organized bus trips and those that were sold this Tuesday for subscribers in person in Martiricosthe club has already placed more than 1,000, to which must be added those offered by Linares Deportivo on its website and those that other fans have purchased in other areas of the stadium.
There are still tickets left
On Tuesday afternoon, there were still tickets on sale at the La Rosaleda box office. About 400 remain to be acquired so that the club can announce the ‘sold out’. Subscribers and Malaguista card holders who wish to do so still have this Wednesday and Thursday (from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) to go to the stadium ticket office to buy up to two tickets to join the blue and white party that will take place this Sunday in Linares. For now, the blue and white entity has not decided whether it will open the ban for non-subscribing fans, in case there are free tickets left.
As it is, everything points to a historic day for the blue and white fans in Linares. 2,000 fans (or more) supporting Málaga CF in Linares. And you have to understand the context to understand what this move means at the club level: 5th day of First Federation.
This only makes one thing clear. And if the team’s performance continues to be good, It will not be the last nor the penultimate time that the blue and white fans take part in a massive trip of these characteristics throughout this journey through the desert of the First RFEF.
