Madrid will mount a giant screen in the Wizink for the final of the Women’s World Cup

He Wizink Center will open its doors this Sunday so that the people of Madrid can see the Women’s World Cup final that will be played, starting at 12:00, the teams of Spain and England.

The Community of Madrid, owner of the venue, the Madrid City Council and the Real spanish soccer federation have reached an agreement for the installation of a giant screen in the sports palace located in the Goya neighborhood. A ‘fan zone’ with “games and entertainment” will also be installed outside, as explained by the municipal council.

“Sunday is going to be a very special day, all of Spain has to turn its attention. Madrid is going to be up to the task and a giant screen is going to be installed in the Wizink Center, the doors of that space will open an hour before. We are in collaboration with the Community and RFEF to finalize the details. a capacity limit of about 6,000 peoplewe are still seeing it”, explained the deputy mayor of Madrid, Inma Sanz.

How to watch the World Cup final on Wizink?

Anyone who wants to attend this event will have to pre-purchase a ticket, either through the City Council’s computer applications, or in person at the venue. The institutions are still specifying that section.

Madrid thus joins other Spanish cities that will install giant screens to experience a historic day for Spanish sport. Barcelona will install a giant screen at the CEM Olímpics Vall d’Hebron to watch the game. The municipal government led by Jaume Collboni understands that it is an “opportunity to see a historic game (…) and the expectation is maximum.”
