
The Spanish footballer Luis Suarez Miramontessoccer legend and Ballon d’Or, passed away today in the city of Milan (north) at the age of 88, as announced by the Inter Milan club, the club for which he played and trained for years.
Suarez (La Coruña, 1935) He arrived in Milan to play for Inter in the 1961/1962 season and ended up staying in the city until the end of his days.
The footballer became the first Spaniard to win a Ballon d’Or, in 1960, a feat that would not be repeated until, in the women’s category, Alexia Putellas won his two golden spheres in 2021 and 2022.
