CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who left the elections with a defeat, broke his silence. Kılıçdaroğlu, who shared a post on social media, came out harshly by stating that the earthquake victims were charged a collective electricity bill.
“YOU DO NOT HAVE HUMANITY”
Kılıçdaroğlu said, “They cut the electricity bills for our earthquake victims, which they postponed for 3 months. We have citizens among whom they sent bills of up to 7 thousand liras, who could not find tents to sleep, no bread to sleep, who suffered heavy losses. You have no mercy and humanity. Fear God. Delete those bills.” used his statements.
AGAINST DISINFORMATION CENTER DENIED
However, Kılıçdaroğlu’s claim was denied by the Center for Combating Disinformation. In the statement made on the subject, the claim that “Deferred electricity bills of earthquake victims are requested to be paid by sending them in bulk” is not true.
The following statements were included in the post where the truth of the matter was explained:
With the Presidential Decision numbered 6974 published in the Official Gazette dated March 21, 2023 and numbered 32139; The accrual and collection transactions carried out by the relevant supply companies for the electricity consumers in the slightly damaged and undamaged dwellings in Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Malatya provinces and İslahiye and Nurdağı districts of Gaziantep have been postponed until 31 May 2023.
“TO BE COLLECTED IN 6 INSTALLMENTS WITHOUT INSTALLMENT”
It has been decided that the deferred invoice amounts of the earthquake victims living in the aforementioned earthquake zones will be collected in 6 months in equal installments, starting from the June 2023 invoice period, without any delay increase.
“DEBT OF SEVERE AND MEDIUM DAMAGED HOUSING AND WORKPLACES WAS CLEARED”
In addition, by the President’s decision, the retrospective electricity and natural gas debts of residences and workplaces located in the disaster area, destroyed in the earthquake, and heavily or moderately damaged, were erased. Lawsuits and enforcement proceedings for deleted invoice debts have also been abolished.
