Khawaja’s century on Australia’s first day

Usman Khawaja scored a century on the opening day of the fourth and final Test match of the four-match series held in Ahmedabad. At the end of the first day, Ajira scored 255 runs for 4 wickets. The team will come out to bat again in the second day’s game.

Australia captain Steven Smith won the toss and decided to bat at the beginning of the match. Two openers Usman Khawaja and Travis Head gave the team a great start with the bat. Both scored 61 runs together. Head got out after scoring 33 runs off 44 balls. Marnus Labuschenne scored only 3 runs in the next wicket.

Opener Khawaja continued to increase the team score with team leader Steven Smith in the third wicket. At this time, the two scored 79 runs together. Smith returned with 38 runs after playing 135 balls. Then Peter Handscomb scored 17 runs.

For India, right-arm pacer Mohammad Sami picked up the maximum two wickets at the cost of 64 runs in 17 overs. Apart from this, two spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindro Jadeja got one wicket each.

It should be noted that the host India won the first Test of the four-match series by an innings and 132 runs. Rohit continued the winning streak. The hosts won by 6 wickets to lead by 2-0. In the third match, Ajira returned to the series by winning the Nathan Lion Whirlpool by 9 wickets.
