
Italian club Juventus drew 1-0 against Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night. And after this victory, the Old Ladies of Turin confirmed the semi-final with a 2-1 lead in the two legs.
Juventus lead 1-0 in their own field in the first leg. As a result, to secure a place in the top four, Juventus would have to draw somehow. On the other hand, Lisbon had no choice to win. Not only that, Juventus should have lost by at least two goals.
The visiting Juventus took the lead early in the match at the Estadio José Alvalade Stadium. Andrean Rabiot scored a goal in the ninth minute of the match. However, the hosts did not have to stay behind for long. Marcus Edwards equalized with a goal from the penalty kick.
