Jesús Navas: “Sergio Ramos has told me that he wants to return to the national team”

For Navas, at 37 years old, “Every moment in the national team is special and if it is in Seville much more. I’m loving this game here against Scotland. and to be able to be in it. “It is a pride to continue at the highest level and to be able to give everything for the team because we are all on one level.”

Ramos wants to return

The Sevilla player did not hide that he has spoken with Sergio Ramos about the possibility of the center-back returning to the national team. “Sergio has told me that he wants to return to the national team, it is his dream and he would like to. I have not spoken with Sergio today about whether he will be here or out tomorrow (Thursday) in the game. We have a very important game and I hope we enjoy it.”

Navas had words for the new generation of young people who have joined the national team: “I know the excitement that Lamine, Gavi and young people have because I have experienced it firsthand back in the day. They want to give everything for the national team and it is very nice to be able to work with them.” Regarding what remains of Navas who was starting out, the full-back revealed that “I still have the hope and the desire for the beginning. Being here is a special occasion for me and I continue with all my strength to continue helping. “We already saw in the Nations League the tremendous desire we had to win the title and we all want to win more things.”

Your recipe for success

The Sevilla player ended up talking about himself, something he doesn’t usually do. He first confirmed that he continues to play with hip problems: “Hip discomfort is something I have had to live with for three years. I continue working to be at my best and be at the coach’s disposal.” And he concluded by explaining why he does not give more importance to himself despite being the only player in world football who has won the World Cup, Euro Cup and Nations League: “What has made me get here is humility, it is what my family, wife and children have instilled in me. Don’t believe me more than anyone else and keep working.”
