India set New Zealand a world record target of 398 runs

After winning the toss against New Zealand in the first semi-final, the Indian batsmen ran rampant against the Kiwi bowlers. Kohli even broke another record in this one century. Sachin was the owner of the highest run in a World Cup so far. He scored 673 runs in South Africa in 2003. Kohli surpassed that too today. Before this match, Kohli’s runs were 594. Kohli now has 694 runs after the century.

However, despite taking a century, he could not take his innings further. Sajghar returned as Team Southee’s second victim after scoring 117 off 113 balls.

Shreya Iyer also scored a century after his departure. He also scored a century in the previous match. Kiwis today he took a century off 67 balls.

In the last over, Shubman Gill could score only 1 run when he came into the field again. In the end India scored 397 runs losing 4 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 80 runs and Lokesh Rahul on 39 runs.
