India gave the Lankans a target of only 214 runs

Despite the Indian batsmen shining against Pakistan in the Asia Cup, Rohit-Virats are having a hard time in front of the Lankan spinners. At the beginning of the match, India lost all the wickets and picked up 213. As a result, India need 214 runs to win.

Indian team captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat at the beginning of the match in Colombo. The two openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill started the bat well. 80 runs came from the opening pair. Gill got out for 19 runs. Meanwhile, after completing his fifty, Rohit stopped at 53 runs.

Then the Sri Lankan spinner Vellalaghe collapsed in the Indian batting lineup. He was joined by Charith Ashalanka. Both took nine wickets together.

Apart from Rohit’s fifty, only four batsmen have cleared double figures. Lokesh Rahul scored 39 runs, Ishan Kishan scored 33 runs. Besides, Shubman Gill scored 19 runs. And Akshar Patel scored 26 runs.
