Dravid turned positive on August 21

Rahul Dravid tested positive for Covid-19 on 21 August before Team India left for Dubai. Due to this, he was living in home isolation in Bangalore. Later Dravid was tested twice for RT-PCR, which turned out to be negative. Due to this, Dravid joined the Indian team in Dubai on the evening of 28 August.

Dravid did not go on Zimbabwe tour

Rahul Dravid being Covid-19 positive was a matter of concern for the team, but now his joining can benefit Team India. Rahul Dravid was also on a break after the recently concluded series against West Indies. National Cricket Academy (NCA) Chief VVS Laxman went as coach in the ODI series against Zimbabwe under the leadership of KL Rahul. India had eliminated Zimbabwe in that series.
