Ind vs NZ Indore Match Tickets: Black marketing of tickets for India-New Zealand match, High Court gave a big decision

India vs New Zealand Indore Match Tickets: The Madhya Pradesh High Court has dismissed a public interest litigation filed regarding irregularities in the online sale of tickets for the ODI match between India and New Zealand to be played on January 24 in Indore. The Indore bench of the High Court has also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the petitioner for wasting the court’s time.

The High Court has said that this person filed the petition only to gain popularity without verifying the authenticity of the allegations. Congress leader Rakesh Singh Yadav (56) had filed a PIL against the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI), Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) and the state government.

Court dismissed public interest litigation

In this petition, the Congress leader alleged that the online sale of tickets for the upcoming India-New Zealand match was rigged and black-marketed, causing loss of tax revenue to the exchequer. Rejecting these allegations on behalf of the MPCA, it was argued in the High Court that this petition has been filed only on the basis of the news published in an evening daily.

Justice SA Dharmadhikari and Justice Prakashchandra Gupta of the Indore bench of the High Court dismissed the petition on January 18 after considering the arguments of both the parties.

What did the court say in its decision?

The court said in its decision, ‘The petitioner has filed a public interest litigation without verifying the authenticity of the allegations leveled against the respondents. He has also not presented any documents in support of his allegations. This petition has been filed only for the purpose of gaining popularity.
