Will decide after seeing the pitch: Mhambrey
Paras Mhambrey said that Shardul Thakur was picked over Umran Malik in the first ODI because he brings depth to the Indian batting. He said, ‘We chose Shardul Thakur because of his batting. He gives depth to the batting, it is heartening to see the way Umran is progressing. The pace also matters a lot and it adds a different dimension to the bowling attack. The decision to feed Umran will depend on the pitch and the need for team combination.
Trump told Umran
Mhambrey says that as far as the World Cup is concerned, Umran is fully involved in the strategy and he is very important for the team. Mhambre felt that the team was missing Jasprit Bumrah. The bowling coach said, ‘Bumrah is a completely different bowler and no one can replace him, this fact has to be accepted. It is difficult to replace a bowler like him. By the way, this gives a chance to test other bowlers at this level. We will see how these bowlers perform and how they handle the pressure.

Mhambre also praised Siraj

He used to try to bring the ball inside at one time but he has also worked on his seam position. He is an important member of the team not only for the World Cup but also outside of it. We have made a chart of things that we want to focus on and would like to implement them in this match.
