The first match of the three-match T20 series between India and Australia is to be played in Mohali on Tuesday (September 20). In view of the preparations for the T20 World Cup, this series is going to prove to be very important for both the teams. Meanwhile, before the start of the series, Australian captain Aaron Finch has praised former India captain Virat Kohli.

Aaron Finch said that a very courageous person would be needed to write off Virat Kohli. According to Finch, considering what the former India captain has achieved in the last 15 years, it would be ridiculous to say that he is paid. Kohli returned to form in the Asia Cup earlier this month and scored his 71st international century. This was also his first century since November 2019.

Finch said, ‘He is wonderful and he has scored 71 international centuries. To call them paid is ridiculous. When you have to face them, you prepare your best. Finch had recently retired from ODI cricket due to poor form and all eyes will be on him in this series.

He said, ‘After a time you get used to criticism, but in T20 cricket I think I am playing really well. I think if you separate the form of ODI and T20 then they are completely different. They are two different formats of the game. Australia will enter this series keeping in mind the World Cup to be held at home next month. There the circumstances will be completely different. Australia will enter the World Cup as the current champion.
