
Mural of Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has been inaugurated on the second floor of Jatiya Krira Parishad Bhawan-NSC Tower in Old Paltan of the capital.
State Minister for Youth and Sports inaugurated this mural in front of Martyr Captain Sheikh Kamal Auditorium on Tuesday afternoon. Zahid Ahsan Russell MP.

During the inauguration, the Minister of State for Youth and Sports said that Captain Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a brave freedom fighter, is a bright star in the modern sports and cultural arena of Bangladesh. Possessing multi-dimensional creative talent, Sheikh Kamal spread talent at an early age. From childhood, he excelled in various sports including football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis. He was the ADC of General Osmani, the commander-in-chief of the liberation war. He is the father of modern football in the country and the founder of Abahani Krirachakra.
He also said, to honor this pioneer of the country’s sports field and to inspire the young generation in sports, we take the initiative of installing the mural of martyred Captain Sheikh Kamal in the building of the National Sports Council.
After the inauguration, the State Minister on behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sports paid tribute to the memorial plaque of martyred Captain Sheikh Kamal with flowers.
National Sports Council Secretary Parimal Singh along with Ministry of Youth and Sports and senior officials of National Sports Council were present in the event.
