Turkey is locked in the second round of the Presidential elections to be held on Sunday. Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate and CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made statements on Fox TV before the elections.
“NO BARGAIN IS MADE”
Kılıçdaroğlu talked about the backstage of his meeting with the President of the Victory Party, Ümit Özdağ, who will support him in the second round. “Will you give Özdağ a responsibility in the state?” Kılıçdaroğlu gave the following answer to the question: “There was no sitting down and bargaining. ‘Whatever falls on me for Turkey’s peace, I can easily do that task. The whole issue is Turkey’s peace and to solve the refugee problem fundamentally, to secure Turkey’s borders. As a patriot. “I am coming, I will stand by the Nation Alliance as a patriot. I will support you. We will solve this fundamental problem of Turkey, the refugee problem, together.”
“THE MINISTRY WILL BE GIVEN ACCORDING TO THE NUMBER OF PARLIAMENTARY”
Kılıçdaroğlu, “Such responsibility falls on which ministry?” His question was, “We have a protocol that we have announced to the public. 6 leaders will come together. First, a ministry will be given to each party, and then a ministry will be given according to the number of deputies issued.” replied with his words.
“I WILL SEND SYRIANS AS MINISTER OF INTERIOR”
Announcing his support for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Ümit Özdağ made a controversial post on his Twitter account right after. Özdağ said, “I will send the promised Syrians as the Minister of Interior. However, not only the Syrians, but also everyone who thinks Turkey is the world’s amusement park, treats our women as concubines, turns our streets into a drug paradise, organizes a Salafist jihadist organization and eats our 11 billion dollars a year.” he said. CHP Spokesperson Faik Öztrak, on the other hand, said, “The issue of ministry was not included in any way during the meeting of our Chairman with Mr. Ümit Özdağ.” had used the words.
“WE ARE NOT PART OF THE ALLIANCE”
Umit Özdağ, who made another statement in the live broadcast he attended, said, “Do you have any desire to sit in the seat of the Ministry of Interior and to treat asylum seekers within the framework of this authority?” To the question, “Of course, I want that. My party also wants it. But as I said, after the 28th of this month, we will not come together with other political parties, because we are not part of this alliance.” had given the answer.
