Ibadat was dropped from the last ODI

Tiger pacer Ibadat Hussain has been withdrawn from the third and final ODI of the series against Afghanistan tomorrow (Tuesday) due to a knee injury. He was also uncertain in the T20 series.

Ibadat suffered a knee injury during the second ODI on Saturday. He left the field without completing his tenth over in the match. Bangladesh team management said, MRI will be done on Ibadat to know the condition of the injury.

Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said, ‘He suffered a knee injury while playing the second match. He will have an MRI. At the moment I don’t think it is possible for him to play in the third ODI.’

As Bangladesh has two important tournaments like Asia Cup and World Cup ahead, Ibadat may miss the two-match T20I series against Afghanistan.

Bangladesh has already lost the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan after losing the first two matches.
