Bangladesh’s top-order batsman Nazmul Hasan Shanto has made the biggest contribution to the victory against England for the first time in T20. He told the secret of great batting while receiving the man of the match award.
Shanta said, ‘I was watching the ball and kept trying to play cricket shots. Also got a run. I was not worried even after losing two wickets. Tauhid batted very well. And Ronnie and Liton started the innings, which is very important in T20.’
Meanwhile Shanto praised the bowlers and said, ‘The way the bowlers especially Taskin and Hasan have bowled is excellent in one word.’
It should be noted that visiting England scored 156 runs for 6 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs when they came to bat at the beginning of the first T20 of the series. In response, Nazmul Hossain Shantar’s innings of 51 runs from just 30 balls got the victory with 6 wickets and 12 balls in hand.
