Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City has won the title for the third time in a row and five times in the last six seasons. The club’s striker Arling Haaland’s hunger for goals has largely worked behind City’s hat-trick of titles. He helped City become champions by taking himself to a unique level by scoring one goal after another.
English club Manchester City bought Norwegian star footballer Arling Haaland from German club Borussia Dortmund last year for 51 million pounds. It is also rumored that the contract will increase after one season.
He scored a brace against West Ham on his debut in the English league in August. Then there was no looking back for the 22-year-old striker. He has scored 36 goals in 33 league matches so far. That broke Alan Shearer and Andy Cole’s record of 34 goals in one season in 1990. And he has scored a total of 52 goals in all competitions so far this season, including five hat-tricks and a five-goal haul.
Former English star Shearer said, ‘Arling is a goal machine. If a team wants to go forward with a center forward, Haaland can be a perfect example.’
