Happy Birthday Ishant Sharma: Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Ishant Sharma has turned 34 today (September 2). Ishant was born on 2 September 1988 in Delhi. At the age of just 18, Ishant was included in the Indian team for the 2006-07 tour of South Africa.
Ishant, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall, is affectionately called ‘Lambu’ in the team. Ishant made a lot of headlines on foreign tours, especially on the second tour of his career. It was the Australian tour, when Ishant told that he can swing the ball both ways with his speed.

Ishant also surpassed Kapil Dev in the matter of taking most Test wickets outside Asia. Ishant now has 171 wickets in Test cricket outside Asia. Kapil Dev had 155 wickets in 45 Tests outside Asia. Talking about the Indians who took the most Test wickets outside Asia, leg-spinner Anil Kumble tops the list with 200 wickets.
