Ghoomer Review: Abhishek Bachchan-Saiyami Kher’s ‘Ghoomar’ is a story of passion, you will be emotional after watching

There are many occasions in life when we sit down after losing courage, but these are also the moments when we need to push ourselves the most. You get to learn something similar from Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher’s new film ‘Ghoomar’. Your heart is going to be happy after watching this film full of inspiration and passion.

What is the story of the film?

The story of ‘Ghoomar’ is of a young girl named Anina (Saiyami Kher). Anina is a cricket player and dreams of playing in the National Women’s Cricket Team of India. Everything is going well when suddenly Anina loses her right hand in an accident. Her dream of playing cricket is shattered and now she wants to die. Then a man named Padma Singh Sodhi aka Paddy Sir (Abhishek Bachchan) knocks at Anina’s door. Paddy is a former cricketer who is angry with the world and his life. Also an alcoholic. Together with Paddy, Anina gives her life a second chance.

The story of Ghoomar is largely inspired by the real life athlete. This athlete won two Olympic gold medals for India after the accident with his hand. Here director R Balki has introduced the audience to Anina’s life without delay. The story of the film is full of passion and sympathy. If you get upset seeing Anina’s struggle in this, then your heart is also happy for her hard work. But at no point in the film has Anina been shown helpless and it was good to see. On the other hand, seeing Paddy’s condition, your heart also hurts.

Abhishek did amazing

Abhishek Bachchan has done a great job in this film. His look and style are good, as well as the momolog he has given for never tasting victory, that too reaches inside you and makes your eyes moist. One of the best scenes is the Diwali scene, in which Abhishek as Paddy pushes the limits of Saiyami as Anina. In another scene, Abhishek prepares to see Anina by re-wearing his dusty cricket jersey and worn out shoes. With all these scenes, Abhishek Bachchan’s performance does not falter in the entire film. Director R Balki never fails to make you emotional.

The leading lady of the film Saiyami Kher has done her job very well. It must have been very difficult to play this role of a girl who has lost an arm and Saiyami’s hard work is clearly visible on the screen. You are inspired by Saiyami every time you see things like falling, getting up after falling, starting again. My personal favorite scene is when after Anina’s accident, her friend Jeet (Angad Bedi) expresses his love for her and she angrily chases him away. Anina says that by taking pity on my condition, you want to consider yourself a hero and this is not lost on me. She doesn’t want anyone to consider her poor.

Shabana Azmi has played the role of Anina’s grandmother in the film. She has become a strong and understanding grandmother of a strong child, who supports her in fulfilling her dreams. Also tallies his score. Shabana’s work is great in this film. Angad Bedi looked good as Anina’s boyfriend Jeet. His work is also worth praising. Actress Ivanka Das has played a small but very good role. It was fun to watch him on screen. This sports drama film is very good, which you can definitely give a chance.
