Ankara once again faced the flood disaster. Heavy downpours and hail, which started during the day, took the capital prisoner. With the rains, floods occurred in many parts of the city. Streets and streets turned into lakes, vehicles were stranded. Life was paralyzed in Ankara as the underpass and its houses were also flooded.

In Ankara, where the rains continue, Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş also gave a critical warning. Mansur Yavaş, who made a statement on his Twitter account, stated that the Ankara Stream has reached the point of overflow. Yavaş said: “Dear fellow citizens, Ankara Stream has reached full capacity due to the torrential rains and hail experienced in Ankara at the level of disaster, it has reached the point of overflow. This situation fills our infrastructure lines and prolongs the discharge process. We are in the field, we are on the alert. We continue.”
“UNDER PASSES CLOSED TO TRAFFIC”
Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, in his social media account, stated that some underpasses were closed to traffic due to the heavy rains that started at 12:00 and continued. Şahin noted the following: “Ministry of Transport, Mamak Bosphorus bridge, Sabancı Girls’ Dormitory, Keçiören Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Altındağ Altınsoy Bridge, Altındağ Mustafa Tuna, Samsun road Telekom, Çiftlik Junction Yenimahalle direction, in front of Kurtuluş Traffic Teams Headquarters, Balgat Ehli- It is brought to the attention of our citizens who will be on the road in the direction of the Beyt underpass. The teams continue to work intensively to eliminate the negativities in the said regions.”

In the meantime, it was stated that more than 40 kilograms of precipitation per square meter fell due to heavy downpours and hail. A taxi driver stuck in Necatibey Street, which was filled with water, tried to drain the water in his vehicle with a plastic bottle.
