The Fil-Harmony Foundation inaugurated this Tuesday the II International Congress “Creative District”whose main objective is to position the Dominican Republic on the map of creative industries, programs associated with innovation and imagination.
The event took place in the Manuel Room of the Central Library of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), turning Santo Domingo into the capital of innovation, entrepreneurship in the orange economy.
Facilitators of Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, Guatemala, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Colombia and the DR. This version is dedicated to Ecuador as the guest of honor country.
The executive director of the Fil-Armonía Foundation and president of the conclave, Luisa Jorge highlighted the importance of this, for the educative community and for him entrepreneurship sector.
He said that the institution he presides over organized this year a broad program focused on the orange economy in order to create the Country Brandcreativity and innovation and entrepreneurship.
He expressed that the activity is aimed at teachers, students of schools and universities from different points of the national geography, as well as from various countries of Latin America.
In the development of the symposium the startup will be carried out orange challenge than a competition between national and international students that exhausted a learning path, work days and finally, the presentation of entrepreneurship projects, before the audience participating in the congress.
The works presented by the students participating in the startup will be evaluated by an expert jury in two categories, school and university, classified into five types of projects. Prizes will be awarded to the best in each of the classified categories.
Also, a day of knowledge management will be carried out, it will constitute it, the guided visit to the La Nueva Barquita Model Communityto learn about their work in terms of entrepreneurship and innovation.
This convention is organized by the Fil-Armonía Foundation and sponsored by the Ministry of Education (MINERD), National Institute for Teacher Education and Training (Inafocam), the UASD and Ikigai Academy.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by distinguished personalities from the professional, academic, governmental, educational and business fields.
