FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: The FIFA World Cup 2022 being hosted by Qatar is progressing with many controversies. These controversies are raising a lot of heat both inside and outside the field. First of all, the controversy is about the wrong treatment of migrant laborers and violation of human rights, which is related from the beginning.

Security remains a major issue even amid the strict regulations implemented in Qatar. It is also being criticized everywhere. Meanwhile, news of misbehavior with some journalists is also coming to the fore. Grant Wahl, an American journalist, was briefly arrested.

The police only questioned the female journalist

The reason for this was his T-shirt, which he was wearing. This T-shirt was against the rules of Qatar. Apart from this, the purse of Dominique Metzger, a female reporter from Argentina was also stolen. When he reported this to the police, he was mistreated there as well. Dominic has also made this claim. He said that on the contrary, the police started questioning him whether to expel the thief from the country?

Dominic said, ‘When I went to the police station to file a complaint, I was subjected to cultural discrimination there. The lady policeman told me that we have hi-tech cameras everywhere, so that we will find him (the thief). What do you want from our justice system when we catch him? What justice do you want? What punishment do you want? Do you want him to be sentenced for 5 years? Do you want to get him out of the country?’

American journalist asked to change T-shirt

On the other hand, American journalist Grant Wahl was detained for some time for wearing a rainbow t-shirt supporting the LGBTQ community. This incident happened with him before the match between America and Wales. This match took place at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Grant said that when he tried to tweet about the incident, his mobile phone was also taken away. After this, he was kept in custody for about half an hour. During this, Grant was asked to change his T-shirt. It was said that wearing such a T-shirt is not allowed. Please tell that homosexuality and supporting them is illegal in Qatar.
