
FIFA President Gianni Infantino visited Dallas Cowboys’ home ground AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas to finalize the venue for the 2026 World Cup Final.
Apart from this stadium, MetLife Stadium in New York, Sophie Stadium in Los Angeles and Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta are also being considered for the final.
The 2026 World Cup is being held jointly by the United States, Canada and Mexico. For the first time on a large scale, 48 teams will participate in this upcoming World Cup.
FIFA has also opened a new office in Coral Gables, Miami to manage the overall aspect of the tournament. New staff are also being appointed for the smooth running of the World Cup.
CONCACAF chief Victor Montagliani was also present during the venue visit with the late FIFA chief, a source said. Infantino is scheduled to visit a few more stadiums before finalizing the venue. It is assumed that the final venue of the final will be announced at the end of this year.
