President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made evaluations on the agenda in the live broadcast he attended. Speaking about the minimum wage increase to be made in July, Erdoğan made words that excited millions. Reminding that the minimum pension has been increased to 7 thousand 500 liras, President Erdoğan emphasized that they will not make citizens suffer in the face of inflation in the minimum wage update to be made in July.
President Erdogan’s statements are as follows:
“We have increased the lowest pension to 7 thousand 500 liras. Our friends are working on increasing this number. The determined period is July. We promised to increase the lowest civil servant salary to 22 thousand. We have given all the rights of EYT members, and we continue. They received their first salary. let them spend it.
“WE WILL TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS IN JULY”
Calculations on the minimum wage in July continue. You know, this is determined by the meeting and work of the Minimum Wage Commission. As we have done so far, we will take measures to protect all our workers against inflation and we will take all necessary steps in this direction.
“WE WILL LOWER INFLATION TO SINGLE DIGIT”
Inflation has also entered a downward trend right now, and I hope we will bring it down to single digits again. Our economic program is working as planned. Here, of course, I have to express a fact. During my prime ministry, we were a government that reduced the interest rate to 4.6 and inflation to 6.2. We did this. Our experience is enough. After the election, I hope we will see relief in the markets, growth in the economy and an increase in investments all together. No one should be worried about that.”
