European Rugby Cup 2023: the schedule for the round of 16

A group stage with a bitter taste for the French clubs involved in the European Rugby Cup. Only three French clubs (La Rochelle, Toulouse, Montpellier) qualified on Sunday January 22 for the knockout stages of the Champions Cup, all present in Pool B. Group A is a real slaughter since Lyon, Racing, Bordeaux Bègles and Castres finish in the last four places.

In the round of 16, Stade Toulousain will play at home and face the South Africans of the Bulls while La Rochelle, defending champion, will also play at home against the English of Gloucester. The task looks complicated for the champions of France since Montpellier will move the lawn of Exeter next April.
