The Spain under-21 team football team lost this Saturday 1-0 against England in the final of the European Championship of the category, played in Batumi (Georgia), thanks to a controversial rebound goal by midfielder Curtis Jones, conceded from a set piece just before the break.

Santi Denia’s pupils saw their challenge of winning a triple continental crown cut short, as they already had two titles in the European sub-17 and sub-19 championships. So, the generation of those born in 2000 was left with the feeling of incomplete workafter having obtained the ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
