The England team is currently on a tour of Pakistan for the seven-match T20 series. In this episode, Pakistan won by 10 wickets in the second match of the series played on Thursday (September 22) at the National Stadium in Karachi. The hero of Pakistan team’s victory was captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan. Both proved to dwarf the target by making an unbeaten partnership of 203 runs in 19.3 overs.
Babar Azam returned to form with an unbeaten 110 off 66 balls, which included 11 fours and five sixes. This was the second half-century of Babar Azam’s T20 International career. At the same time, Rizwan played an innings of 88 runs in just 51 balls. Rizwan hit five fours and four sixes in his innings.
Babar batted cautiously at the beginning of the innings, but once his eyes settled, he did not look back. On the other hand, Mohammad Rizwan was given some chances by the English team. On the personal score of 23 runs, Rizwan’s easy catch was dropped by Alex Hales, while wicketkeeper Salt also missed a simple stumping on 32 runs. Since then it has been a one-way traffic. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, the England team scored 199 runs for five wickets. Caretaker captain Moeen Ali played an unbeaten 55 off 23 balls which included four sixes and as many fours. Apart from Moeen, Ben Duckett (43), Harry Brooke (31) and Alex Hales (30) made useful contributions. The stormy batting of England can be gauged in such a way that he scored 119 runs in the last 10 overs.
