Elon Musk announces two new subscriptions for X (Twitter)

The premium plan of X (Twitter) soon will have two new levelsand one of them will be cheaper than the current one, although with a significant disadvantage, as Elon Musk himself confirmed in a recent publication.

The executive, who bought Twitter for $44 billion in October 2022, has revealed that one of the new subscriptions to X Premium It will cost less than the current plan of 8 euros per month. With this one, whose price is still unknown, users will be able to make use of all the paid functions of the platform, such as obtaining verification, being able to edit tweets or being able to create publications of more than 280 characters. Nevertheless, you will not see a reduction in the number of ads that are shown on the social network, as is the case with the current plan.

Elon Musk has also confirmed that X (formerly known as Twitter) will have another plan more expensive than the current one. This, however, will completely remove ads from the platform.

Let us remember that the current plan, available for 8 euros per month if the user registers from the web, maintains the ads on the platform, although in smaller quantities. The three Premium plans, therefore, would be as follows (the names of the plans are yet to be confirmed).

  • Basic Premium Plan– All features of the Premium plan, but with ads, price to be confirmed
  • Premium Plan: all the features of the Premium plan with a reduced number of ads, available for 8 euros per month.
  • Premium Plan without ads: all the functions of the Premium Plan and without ads on the platform, price to be confirmed.

X (Twitter) is also making new users pay

In parallel, and as part of a test for users in the Philippines and New Zealand, X (Twitter) is making new users pay if they want to use basic functions. The platform, specifically, Ask new profiles for the amount of one dollar a year with the aim of unlocking the ability to publish tweets, share posts, like, reply, etc.

If they don’t pay, They will only be able to view the content. Also follow or unfollow other users. X (Twitter) states that it is due to a measure to eliminate bots and SPAM accounts, and that it is not intended to make profits.
