Election in Turkey is on Greek Minister’s agenda: Erdogan’s reign is not over yet

As the polls went to Turkey on Sunday, the general parliamentary elections were completed and the presidential elections were left to the second round. In the first round, President Erdoğan was a few points ahead of his closest follower, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

SIGNED THE SECOND ROUND

While the developments were followed carefully, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias made a statement regarding the election. Dendias pointed out that although President Erdoğan performed better than expected in the first round, he fell short of the absolute majority and reached the second round.

“WE PREPARE OURSELVES FOR THE WORST”

Dendias stated that “Erdogan’s reign is not over yet,” and said, “We are always hopeful for the best results, but we are also preparing ourselves for the worst.”
