This week will be key to know the evolution of prices in America and its response to the tightening of monetary policy, with the publication of data from inflation in United States, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia.

These are the economic keys that will mark the week in America:

Monday 7

The National Association of Vehicle Manufacturers of Brazil (Anfavea) discloses the sector’s production results for July.

Itaú, the largest private bank in Brazilannounces its results for the first half of 2023.

Tuesday 8

The United States publishes its trade balance data, the exports and imports Made during June.

The Central Bank discloses the minutes of the last meeting of its Monetary Policy Committee (COPOM) to define the basic interest rate in Brazil.

The National Institute of Statistics (INE) of Chile publishes the inflation data corresponding to July.

Eletrobrasone of the largest electricity companies in Latin America, presents its results for the first half of 2023.

They also publish their accounts Braskem, one of the largest petrochemical companies in the world, the package transport company UPS announces its quarterly results and the state oil company ecopetrolthe largest company in Colombia.

The Mexican Institute of Statistics publishes inflation for July.

The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses of Argentina disseminates the current indicators of construction activity for June, after the activity contracted 2.2% in May compared to the previous month.

Thursday 10

The Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes the latest US inflation data for July.

The central bank of Mexico makes a decision on interest rates.

The Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) also decides on interest rates in the country at the monthly meeting of its board of directors.

The Brazilian government discloses the growth of the services sector in June.

The Brazilian government publishes a new projection for the 2023 agricultural harvest.

Friday the 11th

The Brazilian president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, announces in Rio de Janeiro a varied set of works throughout Brazil with which he intends to accelerate growth.

The Central Bank discloses the growth of economic activity in Brazil (IBC-Br) in June.

The Brazilian Government will release the inflation rate in July.
