Former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is imprisoned in prison, made a surprise post on his social media account and stated that he left active politics.
DEMİRTAŞ: I LEAVE ACTIVE POLICY
In his post, Demirtaş said, “Hello. I share with you two paragraphs from my interview that will be published in Artı Gerçek tomorrow: I sincerely apologize for not being able to put forward a policy worthy of our people. I will try to benefit from criticism. While I continue the struggle with resistance like all my comrades from prison, I leave active politics at this stage. I send my comradely greetings to you all, I hug you with longing. Hope to see you in free days,” he said.
ANSWER FROM AKSAKAL: I SHOULD GAVE THE WORK OF SCULPTURE
While Demirtaş’s decision fell like a bomb on the political agenda, there was a surprise exit from DSP Chairman Önder Aksakal, who was in the ranks of the People’s Alliance in the elections. Quoting Demirtaş’s post, Aksakal replied, “We were going to cut a watermelon yet? No, I guess you gave up on sculpture.”
