Donald is no longer living with Taskin-Mustafiz

Bangladesh pacer bowling coach Alan Donald’s contract with Bangladesh Cricket Board-BCB is expiring at the end of this month. This former pacer of South Africa is leaving the responsibility of the team before that.

Donald will not be seen with Taskin-Mustafiz after the World Cup. He will end the Bangladesh chapter with a match against Australia in Pune on November 11. Will return to the country after the World Cup.

It was said that Donald will leave the responsibility of the Bangladesh team after the World Cup. However, a new contract was also discussed with the South African legend who played a role in the development of Pacers. But that’s not happening anymore.

Donald gave an interview to cricket website Cricblog.net about the ‘timed out’ of Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Mathews. There he said, he cannot accept the decision taken by Shakib.

Donald said he never wants to see anything like that on the field. BCB did not take such comments well. They expressed their dissatisfaction in writing to Donald. Donald announced his resignation from BCB the day after this incident.

In March 2022, Alan Donald was appointed as the pace bowling coach of the Bangladesh national team. BCB signed a contract with him till the T20 World Cup held in Australia.

Later, the contract was extended in two phases until the ongoing India World Cup. BCB has a contract with Donald until November 30.
