In the Spanish La-Liga on Saturday night, Memphis Depay’s debut match was won by Atletico Madrid. Diego Simeone’s side beat Real Valladolid 3-0 in the match. Alvaro Morata, Antoine Griezmann and Mario Hermeso each scored a goal in the match.
Atletico new Dutch forward Deppe arrived at the Wanderers Metropolitano from Barcelona on Friday. Before he came on in the second half, however, Antoine Griezmann’s rhythmic performance saw the hosts take complete control of the match.
Morata gave Atletico a lead in the 18th minute with an assist from French forward Griezmann. Griezmann scored an own goal five minutes later. Mario Hermoso scored the team’s third goal with a header from his free-kick return. Three goals in 11 minutes of the first half sealed victory for fourth-placed Atletico.
As a result of this victory, Atletico Madrid has risen to the fourth position in the points table. They collected 31 points in 18 matches. Valladolid is in 18th place in the table with 17 points from the draw. Meanwhile, Barcelona is at the top with the maximum 41 points. And the collection of Real in second place is 38 points.
