The demolition of mosques and minarets that were damaged in the earthquake that took place in Kahramanmaraş on February 6 in the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa continues.
After the inspections of the damage assessment teams, work continues on the buildings, which were decided to be demolished by the Viranşehir District Governor’s Office.
The demolition process has started in the Kışla Mosque, which was determined to have been severely damaged in the earthquakes.
Mosque Imam preacher Ayhan Yıldız stated that it was decided to be demolished after the investigations made after the earthquake, and said, “The mosque to be built on a 660 square meter area will consist of two minarets, instead of the mosque that was started to be demolished.” said.
