Delhi lost first to Punjab

In the second match of the day in the Indian Premier League, Prabhusimran Singh’s century saw Punjab Kings beat Delhi Capitals by 31 runs. With that, Delhi was the first to depart. Batting at the beginning, Punjab Kings scored 167 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Delhi’s innings stopped at 136 runs.

Delhi Capitals got off to a good start chasing runs. In the opening pair, the two openers scored 67 runs in 6.2 balls. When Phil Salt got out for 21 runs, he was in Delhi’s batting lineup forever. Marsh for 3 runs, Russo for 5 runs and Akshar Patel for 1 ram. And after completing fifty, David Warner returned to 54 runs.

Aman Hakeem and Praveen Dube made a small effort to win but Delhi had to concede defeat. Hakeem scored 16 runs. Apart from this, Pandey scored 0, Dube 16, Kuldeep 10 and Mukesh 6 runs.

Earlier, Delhi captain David Warner won the toss and decided to field at the beginning of the match. Punjab Kings did not get off to a good start. Dhawan was out for 7 runs, Livingstone for 4 runs and Jitesh Sharma for 5 runs.

However, opener Prabhu Shimran Singh played Apantal along with Sam Curran in the fourth wicket pair. Even though Curran was dismissed for 20 runs, Singh single-handedly ruled the Delhi bowlers. He also picked up a personal century. He scored 103 runs before getting out. The 65-ball innings featured 10 fours and three sixes.

Apart from this, Harpreet Brar 2 and Shah Rukh Khan were dismissed for 2 runs. And Sikander Raja on 11 runs and Rishi Dhawan on zero runs remained unbeaten.
