David Warner-Axar Patel IPL 2023: David Warner became the new captain of Delhi Capitals, this star of Team India got the vice-captaincy

Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant will not be able to play in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to injury. Now Delhi Capitals has announced its captain for IPL IPL 2023. Star batsman David Warner will captain the team this season. At the same time, Akshar Patel has been given the responsibility of vice-captaincy. IPL 2023 is starting from 31 March.

Delhi Capitals tweeted, ‘David Warner (Captain) and Akshar Patel (Vice-Captain), under the leadership of these two flamboyant players in IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals is ready to roar loudly.’

The 36-year-old Australian opener has had captaincy experience in the IPL before. It was under Warner’s leadership that Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) won the IPL title in 2016. Warner’s performance in the Test series against India was not that good, but he would like to enter the IPL after gaining form in the ODI series.

David Warner captained the then Delhi Daredevils in two matches in 2013. Talking about the captains of Delhi, earlier Rishabh Pant was in charge of Delhi.
