The Colonial City of Santo Domingo will participate in the fair Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE) 22023 edition, which will be held from the 26th to the 28th of this month at the Barceló Bávaro Convention Center, Punta Cana, in order to project the diversity of its tourist and cultural experiences, as well as its revitalization program.
A delegation made up of Tourist Cluster of Santo Domingo, the Hotel Association of Santo Domingo and the Integral Program for Tourism and Urban Development of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo (PIDTUCCSD), which is executed by the Ministry of Tourismwith financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), will be in charge of exposing the attractions that Santo Domingo offers to a significant number of international travel agents and tour operators, suppliers of tourist services and specialized groups that will meet at this event .
Likewise, they will exhaust an intense agenda that includes participation in business rounds, press conferences and the different activities that DATE covers, with the interest of continuing to promote tourism in the oldest urban center on the continent and continue promoting growth in its flow of visitors.
The representation that will attend DATE will project at its stand part of the extensive experiences offered by the historic center of Santo Domingo, such as the monumental wealth that the First City of Americadeclared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1990.
Continuing with its varied gastronomic offer of great quality; its proposal for daytime and nighttime entertainment, which make it an increasingly lively and vibrant city with its bars and theaters; its different options for accommodation, its art galleries, as well as the renovation projects that are being carried out.
DATE is the most important fair for the promotion of the Dominican tourism product in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean, which is organized every year by the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) and “for Ciudad Colonial it is a great opportunity to be present in this edition, betting with great enthusiasm and great expectations on the development of tourism in Santo Domingo,” their representatives expressed.
