Chivas and Tigres meet again in a final

The final of the Clausura 2023 is defined, Chivas and Tigres will compete for the Liga MX title, after eliminating América and Monterrey, respectively.

El Rebaño came to the second leg of the semifinal looking for two goals, after losing the first leg 1-0, and showed more hunger than the rival and got the necessary goals to settle in the final round.

The rojiblancos started winning with Ronaldo Cisneros’s goal (19′), but Diego Valdés equalized, at 57′. With the tie, it seemed that the Eagles had everything under control; however, Álvaro Fidalgo was sent off and the Azulcremas went into a tailspin.

Already with a numerical disadvantage, Guadalajara took control of the game and reflected it on the scoreboard. Alan Mozo (76′) and Jesús Orozco (88′) scored the goals with which the score was traced. In addition to the fact that there was also an annotation canceled due to a previous foul.

Chivas return to a Liga MX final, after a six-year absence. The last one they played and won was in the Apertura 2017, where they faced the Tigres, who will precisely be their rival in this Clausura 2023.

The feline team reached the final, coming from the playoffs and in the semifinals they beat their great rival, the Rayados, who had finished as the best team in the regular season.

This final will be the great opportunity for the royals to take revenge for what happened six years ago, where the Guadalajara champions were proclaimed.
