Casemiro, in tears: “My best title, training every day at Real Madrid”

Carlos Henrique Casemiro he has said goodbye to madridismo in an exciting act that was held this Monday in Valdebebas. At the age of 30, the Brazilian, who has spent nine seasons at Real Madrid, is going to Manchester United to play four seasons and earn a net 13 million deposit, while the club he presides over Florentino Perez will receive almost 80 million euros between fixed and variable.

The act started with a speech by the Whites’ president, who was very affectionate with the player, who could not help crying as he watched the tribute video that the club prepared for him with his best moments. “It is a day to pay tribute to one of our benchmarks who has led us to win five Champions in eight years. Casemiro I remember that kid who led Castilla when he was 20 years old in 2013. You helped us keep Castilla in the Second Division and then you moved up to the first team, where you won the Décima. You are one of our great myths. I never thought this day could come. It’s a day for feelings. We have lived and shared the most exciting moments of our lives”.

A father for the companions

The president went on to warn that “at Real Madrid we feel very proud of the history they have starred in with our club’s shirt. You have always helped your teammates. Thank you for acting like a father with the youngest. For being an example of commitment and giving him everything until the end. You are a benchmark of work, effort and respect. Your effort has taken you to eternity. It is not easy to put an end to the cycle that you have starred in. You have also been exemplary at the time of farewell and that is why you have earned the right to decide your future. You are a pride for me as president. You start a new stage in a friendly and legendary club like Manchester United. Wherever you go you will be an ambassador of Real Madrid. You will always be one of us and you will be part of this family. Thank you dear Case.”

Later, the player took the floor to address the fans, something that cost him because of the emotion. “I don’t like the spotlight or having a leading role and I will speak with a lot of heart. When my wife and I got here I didn’t know anyone, we were going to a new country, to a club where they didn’t know us. And here we have built a life and a family. I started at Castilla, which was something very important because I got to know this club from its youth academy. And that has been very important. I have won many titles and I think the biggest title I have won is coming every day to train at this club. I have won titles thanks to my mother, my brothers, my family, the club, the coaches, my teammates because without them it would have been impossible. talking about my friends i can’t talk about Tony Kroos Y Luka modric. We’ve been through a lot and I’ve really enjoyed football. The club trained me as a person and a player, the fans because I have lived magical nights with them as the last Champions. This club will continue to win because it is the identity of the club and that is why it is the best club in the world. One day I will return for sure to continue helping the club. Go Madrid!”.

Finally Florentino handed him the gold and diamond badge and then posed with all the trophies that the footballer has won, a total of 18, including five Champions. Among those present were players from the squad, coach Carlo Ancelotti, former players such as Raúl González Blanco, Emilio Butragueño and Álvaro Arbeloa. Casemiro’s stage at Real Madrid closes with this act.
