In the incident that took place at around 04.30 in the TEM Highway Sapanca Yanık Mahallesi location, AK Party voters residing in Ordu and living in Istanbul went to Ordu to vote in the second presidential election.
BUS DRIVER IS JUST IN VEHICLE
After the voting process, the passenger bus with license plate 22 BG 032 under the direction of Salih Karahan, which set out to bring the AK Party voters to Istanbul, hit the TIR with license plate number 06 AVG 91 under the direction of Evren Bulut (47), which was going in the same direction near the Sapanca district of the TEM Highway. In the accident, the bus driver was stuck in the vehicle.

Upon receiving the news, many ambulances from Kocaeli and Sakarya were dispatched to the fire brigade and police teams. The bus driver, who was stuck in the vehicle, was removed from the place where he was stuck with the work of the firefighters. One of the injured in the accident, 22 people were taken to hospitals in the city by ambulances.

Due to the accident, TEM’s transportation in the direction of Istanbul was controlled as a double lane for a while. The traffic flow returned to normal after the accident vehicles were removed from the scene and the cleaning work.

Ertuğrul Ekiz (47), one of the injured passengers, said that they went to Ordu, their residence address, from Istanbul Bağcılar to vote in the 2nd Presidential Election.

Truck driver Evren Bulut said, “While I was on the road, I heard a noise, I slowed down. At that moment, I realized that the bus had hit me from behind. I pulled over to the safety lane and stopped.” An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
