Bafuf general secretary (expelled) Abu Naeem Sohag has been banned from football for two years after being found guilty of financial fraud. Apart from this, the Ministry of Youth and Sports will take account of Tk 20 crore allocated by the Bangladesh government.
A committee of five members has been formed for that purpose. And yesterday (Monday) the members of that committee went to Bafuf’s office and asked for various documents.
Meanwhile, members of the investigation committee including Nazrul Islam, the additional secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Parimal Singh, the secretary of the National Sports Council, held a meeting with BAFF President Kazi Salauddin.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell MP said in this regard, ‘Bafufe is given 20 crores. The Ministry of Finance has ordered to investigate whether the money has been used properly or not. We are not investigating other money.’
