British Attorney General Dominic Raab resigns, replaced by Alex Chalk

After the resignation of British Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Dominic Raab today, Secretary of State Alex Chalk has become the new Minister of Justice.

Alex Chalk has been announced as the new Minister of Justice, replacing the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Dominic Raab, who resigned today, with the release of the investigation report into his maltreatment of workers in the UK. Member of Parliament Alex Chalk previously held the post of Secretary of State at the British Ministry of Defence.

Resignations from the British Government Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson resigned from his position as Prime Minister in September 2022, stating that confidence in his leadership had been lost, and Liz Truss, who was the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the elections held within the ruling Conservative Party, was elected as the Prime Minister. However, Liz Truss, who took office on September 6, resigned from her Prime Minister position on October 25, after harsh criticism due to tax cuts. Rishi Sunak took office as British Prime Minister in October 2022.
