Bhuvan Bam was born on 22 January 1994 in Delhi. His father’s name was Avanindra Bam and mother’s name was Padma Bam. Bhuvan has a younger brother, Aman Bam, who is a pilot. Bhuvan did his schooling from Green Fields School in Delhi and did his graduation from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Delhi University. He has a Bachelor’s degree in History from SBS College.
Bhuvan Bam’s school days…
Bhuvan was an average student during his school days. In an interview given on Humans of Bombay YouTube channel, he told that I did not know what to do but I knew what not to do, study. He said, if the name starts with B, he used to sit in the second or third row in the class, right in front of the teacher, she used to teach but I could not understand much. I used to sit and write poems or sketch the teacher.
Regular music classes started from 10th class
More than 20 songs of Bhuvan Bam have been released, many songs including ‘Safar’, ‘Heer Ranjha’, ‘Saajish’, ‘Ajnabi’ were liked a lot on YouTube. This did not happen in a day, behind it is his long hard work. However, it is a different matter that in the beginning he avoided music but very soon interest arose and today he is a singer. Talking about this in an interview, he said that he started learning classical music from class 4. Initially it didn’t look good but once he complained that he is stuck on the same thing since a week. After this, he started learning regular classical music from 10th class.
74% marks in 12th class
Sharing the memory of class 12th in an interview, Bhuvan said that he had secured 74 percent marks in intermediate but his parents were not happy with that either. However, even today those 74% marks were a very good achievement. On the race to get more marks in today’s time, he said that parents should think beyond marks.
How did you choose commerce in school, history in college?
Bhuvan tells that his parents wanted him to do B.A. Do com hons, especially mother. That’s why I had chosen commerce during my school days, but due to marks, I graduated in History from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University.

Bhuvan Bam started his YouTube channel ‘BB Ki Vines’ in the year 2015. In the year 2016, Bhuvan Bam’s channel was awarded the Most Popular Channel Web TV Asia Award. In the year 2019, ‘Plus Minus’ received the Filmfare Award in the Best Short Film category. Today, he has done more than 20 characters in Bibi Ki Vines. There are 25.8 million i.e. more than 25 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.
