The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the prize money for this extraordinary achievement of the girls. They have announced to give 50 lakh rupees to women’s national football team.
Bangladesh beat hosts Nepal 3-1 in the SAFF final on Monday. After this victory, BCB has informed in the official statement that the winning women’s team will be given a cash prize of 50 lakh rupees. BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon announced the award in recognition of their achievement in winning the women’s SAFF championship title for the first time.
Papon said in BCB’s statement, ‘Bangladesh women’s football team has made the whole country happy with its extraordinary performance and historic achievements on the field. As a support and recognition to them, I am announcing a reward of Tk 50 lakh for the entire team on behalf of BCB.’
The BCB President also said, ‘I am sure this success of the SAFF Championship will inspire all the athletes of the country and especially the women. It will serve as a great inspiration for bringing international success in the field of sports.’
