Baskonia confirmed this Monday the arrival of the coach Dusko Ivanovic, who will complete his fourth stage in the Basque team, until the end of the current campaign, after the departure of Joan Peñarroya.
The Catalan coach and the club put an end to their relationship with the Barça entity, which he joined in June 2022.
The club informed the coach this Monday of the decision to terminate your contract, explained Baskonia through a press release, issued just a few minutes before another in which it announced the arrival of Ivanovic.
Peñarroya has directed the Baskonista team a total of 83 games, 39 in the Euroleague and 44 in the Endesa League.
After failing to reach the semi-finals even Copa del Rey nor of ACB League last year, but playing high-scoring basketball, both parties rethought their future together in the summer. In the end the coach continued at the beginning of the current campaign.

Ivanovic will be presented in the next few hours and will lead his first training session as Baskonia’s new coach. His first challenge will be the Euroleague match against Partizan Belgrade, this Friday in Vitoria.
