FC Barcelona has made the contracting of the Brazilian footballer official Joao Mendes, 18 years old recently fulfilled and son of the exfutbolista blaugrana Ronaldinho, who will join the youth team. The young footballer, who plays as a striker, has undergone a trial period for about a month and has already made his debut in a youth friendly against Manchester United.

Joao Mendes, who just turned 18 in February, was without a team after his previous stint in the lower categories of the Cruzeiro. Now he will try to follow in the footsteps of his father, who was a Barça footballer between 2003 and 2008, being one of the architects of the team’s progression at the time, which won two Leagues and one Champions League.
