Bangladesh’s XI can be like today against Sri Lanka

Bangladesh, who have tasted defeat in six consecutive matches in the current World Cup, are facing Sri Lanka in their eighth match today. Bangladesh must win today’s match to play in the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan in 2025.

The match will start at 2:30 PM at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The match is important for both the teams if not for the World Cup but for the Champions Trophy. The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has seen the record for the fastest century twice in the current edition. Naturally, there will be an expectation of runs from the Bangladeshi batsmen. Considering the conditions, the batting eleven will be seen in today’s match.

So it is thought that Tanjid Tamim will be seen as Liton Das’s opening partner today. Nazmul Hossain Shanto in three, Shakib Al Hasan in four. All these four starters have failed to fulfill their expectations in this World Cup. Tamim’s one and Liton’s two half-centuries could not bring the team victory.

Apart from that, the positions of Tawheed Hriday at five, Mushfiqur Rahim at six and Mahmudullah Riyad at seven are quite certain. Here is more confidence considering the consistency of runs in the team. Ate Mehdi Hasan will play Miraj. Bangladesh will enter the field with three specialist pacers, Taskin Ahmed in nine, Shariful Islam in ten and Mustafizur Rahman in eleven.

Bangladesh Probable XI: Liton Das, Tanjid Tamim, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan (captain), Tawheed Hriday, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mehdi Hasan Miraj, Taskin Ahmed, Shariful Islam and Mostafizur Rahman.
